Generally, traditional riveting requires inserting the rivet from one side of the plate, supporting the workpiece with a jacking iron on the other side, and then completing the riveting operation. In contrast, a rivet gun only supports single-sided operation, which eliminates the need for double-sided cooperation and makes riveting work simpler and more efficient.
The specifications of a rivet gun are mainly determined by its body length. Typically, each manual rivet gun is equipped with multiple nozzles of different models to adapt to rivets of diverse materials and specifications. Meanwhile, the built-in steel claw structure of the rivet gun can firmly grip the rivet rod, tightly press the rivet head, and make the two connecting materials fit closely for a solid riveting effect.
Use Method of Manual Rivet Gun
1. Understand the basic structure of the manual rivet gun
Before operation, you need to get familiar with the structure of the manual rivet gun. The front part is an aluminum alloy muzzle, and the middle part is a special recycling bucket for storing excess and broken rivet rods.
2. Drill rivet holes on the materials
On the two workpieces that need to be connected and riveted, drill holes that match the specification of the selected rivets for subsequent riveting work.
3. Install rivets on the rivet gun
Take rivets of appropriate specifications and install them stably into the aluminum alloy muzzle of the rivet gun.
4. Align the rivet gun with the hole position
Aim the rivet mounted on the manual rivet gun at the pre-drilled hole of the workpiece to ensure accurate positioning.
5. Complete the riveting operation
Squeeze and close the handles of the rivet gun to fix the rivet in place. After the riveting is completed, remove the rivet gun, and the whole riveting process is finished.
