Expansion riveting refers to the way that some materials of riveted screws or nuts deform plastically under the action of external force and form a tight fit with the base material in the riveting process, so as to realize the reliable connection of two parts. The commonly used Zrs and so on use this riveting type to realize the connection with the substrate.
The expansion riveting process is relatively simple and the connection strength is low. It is usually used when the height of fasteners is limited and the bearing torque is small.
